What makes Hillary ‘short circuit’? Twitter wonders after candidate’s email comment
So there you have it. Annenberg Fact Check, CNN, the Washington Post, the Associated Press and even Politifact-none of them what you would call right-wing publications-agree Hillary has been very misleading in her statements. As for the rest, 27 percent think she showed poor judgment but did not break the law, and 8 percent say she did nothing wrong at all. She still held a 9-point lead overall.

Clinton joins a long list of political leaders who have spoken at the groups’ conventions, which often focus on increasing diversity in newsrooms. Convention organizers said they’d also invited Trump but that he’d declined.
She was asked if she misrepresented FBI’s conclusions in her two recent interviews.
Hovering over the address was the image of Clinton addressing a room full of journalists.
Clinton pointed to the high ratings she won as secretary of state and as a senator from NY, arguing that voters like her more when she’s working than when she’s campaigning – something she attributed to campaign attacks on her character.
Her prolonged absence from hosting a press conference – up until Friday – is a testament to that assertion.
Hillary Clinton will be “real transparent” with Americans after learning lessons from the controversy over her use of a private email server, her running mate, Tim Kaine, said on Sunday, expressing optimism that she could improve her trust deficit with voters over the next month. Trump’s campaign jumped on the assertion, calling it “pants on fire”.
“Clinton knows the actions she has taken are disqualifying for someone wishing to become commander-in-chief – and that is why today’s painful, pretzel-like response to a simple question about her illegal server was obvious to everyone watching”.
Clinton said as the US Secretary of States, she sent over 30,000 e-mails to the State Department that were work-related e-mails and FBI Director James Comey said only three out of those had anything resembling classified markers.
Additionally, Clinton said: “I have acknowledged repeatedly that using two email accounts was a mistake”, but in fact Clinton used only one email account as secretary of state – the private one.
The explanation didn’t appease Republicans.
Comey said that it was “possible that she didn’t understand what a “C” meant when she saw it in the body of the email like that”.
Clinton has been plagued with high unfavorability ratings in polls. “I would have won such a case”, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, a former federal prosecutor, told ABC’s “This Week” program on Sunday. She seems to be conflating the true- what she said to the F.B.I. and what she said to the American public.
CLINTON: Well, I may have short-circuited it; and for that I – you know, will try to clarify.
In the hearing last month, Comey said three marked emails had a “C” mark at the time they were sent or received by Clinton, which would have indicated their classified nature.
She argued that a broad victory, one that included Democrats winning control of the Senate and tightening their margin in the House, would put pressure on Republicans to come along.
“He is harkening back to the most shameful chapters of our history and appealing to the ugliest impulses of our society”, she said.

Clinton also vowed to push hard to pass a comprehensive immigration overhaul bill with a path toward citizenship for those in the country illegally, and said she would make the issue a priority during her first 100 days in office. In reviewing the FBI’s investigation, Comey said seven email chains dealt with matters “that were classified at the Top Secret/Special Access Program level when they were sent and received”.
