According to French gaming website Gameblog.fr (via Attack of the Fanboy), it seems they have heard that the console could be unveiled next month in NY on the 7th of September.

According to the latest PS4 Neo rumors, September 7 is going to be the day of reveal with a Sony event being held in NY – according to an article published by French website Game Blog.
It’s unclear at this time what venue Sony allegedly have planned for the reveal of the Neo but Gameblog’s sources state that it will be a large venue capable at holding a showcase for the new machine.
One of the biggest questions in gaming at the moment is when Sony are going to officially announce their upgraded version of the PlayStation 4, believed to be called PlayStation Neo and variously nicknamed as the PS4.5 and PS4K.
Some of you may have been expecting the announcement in Japan instead at the Tokyo Game Show, but based on this rumor Sony will be keeping it in the US.
Take this with a grain of salt though the site has been somewhat reliable in the past. It would make sense considering Sony is a Japanese company, and they have used TGS in the past to make important announcements (PS Vita Slim, PS3 “Superslim”).

Gameblog has a reasonable track record of accuracy, having most recently predicted Injustice 2 at E3. Nothing is official until Sony makes an announcement.
