A new poll showing Hillary Clinton’s lead over Donald Trump is growing is evidence of just how hard a few weeks it’s been for the Republican presidential nominee, says a professor at Princeton University.

US Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s erratic stance on nuclear weapons has raised the alarm among American nuclear experts, according to a report.
While polls have shown that voters have deep concerns about Trump’s temperament and fitness for office, recent polling puts him ahead of or on par with his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, on whom people trust more on the economy.
His announcement comes amid consternation within the GOP over Trump’s attack on the parents of a slain U.S. soldier and his refusal last week to endorse several key Republican figures – though he reversed coursed and endorsed House Speaker Paul Ryan, Arizona Sen. Among the alarming numbers for the Trump campaign: In Philadelphia, the biggest city in an important swing state, suburbs that used to vote Republican for president now are for Clinton, with Trump an abysmal 40 points behind.
They are anxious their presidential nominee could have a debilitating impact on other races, especially of Republicans in tight contests for the Senate and the House of Representatives. Among likely voters, Clinton beats Trump, 51 percent to 44 percent.
“We need unity. We have to win this election”, Trump told a rally in Ryan’s state of Wisconsin.
It was a rough post-convention week for the self-described billionaire and Republican presidential nominee.
The former secretary of state leads the Manhattan developer, 50 percent to 42 percent, in a two-way poll conducted by ABC and the Washington Post.
Clinton’s favorability ratings have seen a slight improvement since the conventions: forty-six percent have a favorable opinion of Clinton, with 52 percent holding unfavorable views of her.
“Unstable Hillary Clinton”, Trump bellowed, to the delight of the crowd in Windham, New Hampshire, on Saturday. “When we do that, we’re comfortable that we can get the agenda and the narrative of the campaign back on where it belongs, which is comparing the tepid economy under Obama and Clinton, versus the kind of growth economy that Mr. Trump wants to build”.
The economic advisory group includes no women and numerous members come from hedge funds and investment banking, a make-up at odds somewhat with Trump’s populist message.
Think tanks have denounced earlier Trump plans saying they would add at least $13 trillion to the U.S. deficit.
The poll comes after Trump’s hard week, where he faced backlash over his response to the Khan family – the Muslim parents that spoke at the Democratic National Convention about their son who was killed in combat serving in the US military.
Newt Gingrich says that “of course” Donald Trump’s economic plan doesn’t add up and adds that historically, no candidates’ numbers do.
The Clinton campaign has criticized Trump over the advisory group, announced on Friday, for including no women and relying on members who come from hedge funds and investment banking, a make-up at odds somewhat with Trump’s populist message.
