An Italian sailor has rescued and revived a drowning kitten at a port in Sicily, after children on the shore alerted the coast guard of the situation.

Footage released by the Italian coastguard shows officers carrying out CPR on the kitten, including mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and cardiac massage.

It was later taken to the local port authority offices where it was dried off and determined to be in good health by a local veterinarian.

Port authorities were so touched they chose to adopt the kitten, naming him “Charlie”. If you would like to discuss another topic, look for a relevant article.
