It was reported that blades were found in the former athlete’s cell and that Pistorius claimed he had sustained the injuries after falling out of bed.

Numerous attempts have been made to get comment from correctional services, who could not confirm nor deny that Pistorius had been rushed to hospital on Saturday.
However, the BBC quoted a report saying that Pistorius had injuries to his wrists. Pistorius’ defense team suggested those reports were exaggerated.
Prosecutors believe he killed her intentionally after an argument, and said they would appeal his six-year sentence, which they called “shockingly lenient”.

Pistorius – who underwent a double leg amputation below the knee as an 11-month-old – claimed he felt frightened and vulnerable as he wasn’t wearing his prosthetic legs when he thought he heard the sound of his bathroom window opening.
