Clinton Leads Polls Nationally, Swing States
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is widening her lead over Donald Trump in a new national poll out Sunday, bolstered in part by her party’s consolidation of support after the conclusion of their national convention in July.

On Saturday ahead of his rally in New Hampshire, he posted a campaign ad on his Facebook page that refers to Clinton as “Robot Hillary” – and shows sparks flying out of her mouth.
And on CNN’s State of the Union, Ohio Gov. John Kasich expressed doubts about Trump’s prospects in a state that has been carried by every winning Republican presidential candidate.
The Clinton campaign repeated numerous same blasts against Trump it has used before – arguing that he rooted for the housing crisis and would allow the U.S.to default on its debts.
And Republicans were incensed when he initially refused to endorse US House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan and two US senators in their re-election bids. Meanwhile, 61 percent said Clinton is “temperamentally suited for the Oval Office”. This idea is ludicrous for a number of reasons, and it’s risky because of the delegitimizing effect it could have on the system and the eventual possible presidency of Hillary Clinton.
Among likely voters, Clinton’s lead is 51 to 44 percent, and in a race that includes Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson and Jill Stein from the Green Party, Clinton leads Trump 45-37 percent, with Johnson at eight percent and Stein at four percent.
She said after Donald Trump’s nomination, Republicans are “at a moment where silence isn’t an option”.
Hillary Clinton has made clear inroads with women since the Democratic National Convention while Donald Trump is increasingly relying on white men for his base of support, which appears to be rapidly shrinking.
Despite solidifying support among her base and maintaining a lead in 10 swing states, it’s not all good news for Clinton.
“The dust is starting to settle on the tag-team conventions, with the net advantage going to Clinton”, said Patrick Murray, director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute.
Trump’s plan calls for cutting income taxes, eliminating tax brackets, and making childcare expenses tax deductible, according to an outline of the plan obtained by CNN Monday. “And I think she (Clinton) did a better job of that.”The poll surveyed 321 Democrats, 257 Republicans and 83 independents, a mix picked to reflect the statewide voter rolls.
He knows what he needs to do”, Paul Manafort, Trump’s campaign manager, told Fox News on Sunday”.
Trump is promising to unveil a new agenda “for revitalizing the American economy” Monday during a Detroit Economic Club luncheon at Cobo Center. “It’s a three-month campaign”, he said.
A Democrat like President Barack Obama, Clinton will be buoyed by figures released on Friday showing US employment rose more than expected for a second month in a row in July and wages picked up, bolstering expectations of faster economic growth.

In response, the Clinton campaign issued a statement saying, “It’s unfortunate that Trump’s only method of dealing with his own disastrous week is to lash out with more absurd personal attacks”.
