‘I Don’t Regret Anything’ About Khan Family Attacks
Donald Trump’s inflammatory rhetoric against Muslim Americans like the Khan family shows his true colors.

Trump’s comments appeared to represent the most dramatic break yet with a Republican establishment whose support for their presidential nominee has been reluctant at best.
McCain has options. He can keep supporting a guy who won’t support him. It is about a sense of decency that Trump mocks as “political correctness”. He on numerous occasions promised that a Trump administration would repeal the president’s Affordable Care Act and strengthen the economy.
Trump’s support, however, seems to be sagging. This condemnation is against you personally.
“TRUMP: “(McCain) insulted me and he insulted everybody in that room.
“As a Gold Star mother, I don’t expect anything”, Vaughn declared. Trump said during a rally in Daytona Beach on Thursday afternoon.
TRUMP: “He’s a war hero because he was captured”. But I also spoke to remind the American people that American Muslims are an integral thread of the American tapestry. “Hillary voted for the Iraq war, not me!” But right now he said some very bad things about a lot of people.
“Those are decisions individual families will have to make”, Cole said.
Again, this is McCain’s calling card. “More than one line”.
The speech itself electrified the convention and drew enormous attention to Khan on social and traditional media. This was basically the most personal attack possible. Most of Trump’s branded neckties, shirts and suits are made overseas, in China and Bangladesh, as are the bulk of the products sold by his daughter, Ivanka. But perhaps for nobody was it as hard as for McCain.
Trump’s stunning slap at two of the nation’s most prominent Republicans dramatically escalated GOP turmoil barely a week after a convention meant to promote party unity.
Trump suggested that Mrs. Khan was a Muslim doormat and compared the loss of her son to “sacrifices” he’s made as a businessman. He also faces a strong general election challenge from Democratic Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick if he wins the primary.
“Look for the words “liberty” and ‘equal protection of law, ‘” he said standing next to his wife, waving his paperpack copy of the Constitution. “I would also echo the many concerns about Mr. Trump’s uninformed and indeed risky statements on national security issues that have been raised by 65 Republican defense and foreign policy leaders”.
Khan, an attorney, is known among fellow Muslims for “embracing sharia law and rejecting the U.S. Constitution”, alleges Bob Maginnis, a retired U.S. Army colonel now with the Family Research Council.
Sen. Shelley Moore Capito’s aide, Amy Graham, said Capito, R-W.Va. was not available for an interview, but that the senator “disagrees with Trump’s comments toward the Kahn family”.
Donald Trump is openly taunting the leaders of his own party by refusing to endorse House Speaker Paul Ryan of Wisconsin and Sen.

But for nobody has this impossible choice been so impossible as it was for John McCain.
