Harry Potter And The Cursed Child is fastest selling book this decade

The book – a script instead of a narrative novel like author J.K. Rowling’s previous Potter books – was published at midnight on Sunday, shortly after the play’s gala opening.

Rowling collaborated with playwright Jack Thorne and director John Tiffany on “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”, which picks up the boy wizard’s story nearly two decades later and focuses on Potter’s youngest son, Albus.

Deathly Hallows sold a record 8.3 million copies in the United States in its first 24 hours back in 2007.

But first, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” starring Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander will be released in theaters November 18.

“Fantastic Beasts” and Where to Find Them is the first installment of the prequel of “Harry Potter” and it stars actor Eddie Redmayne.

Reportedly, there will be three films based on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, one of the books that accompanied the Harry Potter series.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows sold 1.8 million copies of the children’s edition, and 780,000 copies of the adult edition in July 2007.

Lily Zalon, a high school senior in CT at the time of the release of the final “Potter” film in 2011, told the Monitor at the time that the first book “became my entire childhood”.

She said: “Our sales for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child script book have been phenomenal”. It’s awesome. It’s wrong to say that it’s another book – it’s not, it’s a totally different thing. Do you want to go in on them together?’
