Mark Sanchez and Trevor Siemian are the men at the top of the chart now and the favorites to replace future Hall-of-Famer Peyton Manning behind center. This news means that the team is showing patience with Paxton Lynch, who the team selected in the first round of this spring’s NFL Draft after trading up to make the pick. Coach Gary Kubiak says he wants to watch them play in the preseason before making a decision.
However, right now it’s clear Kubiak feels veteran Sanchez and second-year pro Siemian have a better grasp of the offense and have the best chance of leading it early in the season.
Sanchez and Siemian have been splitting repetitions since the start of training camp in their battle to replace the retired Peyton Manning as the starting QB for the defending Super Bowl champs. Longtime backup Brock Osweiler signed with the Houston Texans at the start of free agency.
According to TiqIQ, a resale ticket data collector, the average list price of a ticket is $305 – compared to $75 before A-Rod tearfully announced Sunday that he was retiring from the team.
