Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime goes on sale today on Flipkart

Xiaomi, smartphone company, launched the Redmi 3S in the city today.

Xiaomi usually opts for the flash sale model after the launch of any new product, but the company has said that the Redmi 3s Prime will be available via open sale from day one. A 4100mAh battery completes the package.

The Redmi 3S Prime comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 64-bit, octa core processor clubbed with 128 GB expandable memory. Both these smartphones have a 5-inch display, but while the K5 Plus sports an FHD (1080p) display with a pixel density of 441ppi and a 178-degree wide view angle, on the other hand, the Redmi 3S Prime sports a lower resolution display. The Company has already established its stronghold in the Indian market with the Redmi Note 3 and the Mi Max, all in the price range of Rs. 10,000. On the display front, the new device gets a bump in size along with features like the reading mode that the company claims prevents eye fatigue by reducing blue light rays from the screen. A fingerprint reader has also housed in the home button (tactile key) + two capacitive touch buttons for the back and recent operations. The Redmi 3S is an upgraded variant of the Redmi 3S and is equipped with higher RAM and internal storage.

This is a dual SIM smartphone (GSM and GSM) which supports Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM. It has up 32GB of internal storage capacity.

Xiaomi is touting battery as the USP of both Redmi 3S and 3S Prime.

Coming to the Connectivity options, The Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime smartphone offers 4G LTE, 2G/3G, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB and a fingerprint scanner which is placed under the rear camera.

Camera: In the camera department, the Vibe K5 Plus sports a 13MP primary rear shooter with a 5-piece lens and a 5MP lens on the front for selfies and video chat.

The Redmi 3S runs on Android 6.0 with the MiUi 7 interface, which can be upgraded to the latest MiUi 8 within a few weeks.
