Million Copies in 2 Days
Despite Rowling’s confirmation that there won’t be any additional Harry Potter stories planned in the future, there is a new film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, opening on November 18th. To say that the people behind “Fantastic Beasts” have high hopes for the movie is a clear understatement, especially since a sequel is already in the works even before the first movie is released.

Accordingly, for the sequel of “Fantastic Beasts” and Where to Find Them, it will be much darker as it will show the dark times of the wizarding world. This film, though it hasn’t been released as yet, already has a release date for its sequel.
Thursday’s ticket release followed the publication of the script of the play, written by Jack Thorne and approved by Potter author JK Rowling, which became the fastest-selling book in the United Kingdom this decade.
The latest book by J.K. Rowling, “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”, is one of the fastest selling books in history. It follows the characters Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley as they send their own children to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In fact, two million copies of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts One and Two” script book were sold for the first two days since its release.
Despite the success of the script, initial sales of the book fell far behind those of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”, the seventh and final novel in the series. We’ve seen this ability in spell form, used by Professor Snape on Harry Potter, but Queenie’s ability is “more like an antenna, always turned on, picking up the thoughts and feelings of everybody around her”.
The “Harry Potter” spinoff “Fantastic Beasts” is turning into a franchise of its own.
That title is now held by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, according toThe Bookseller.

“I’d love it to go wider than that”. Both Rowling and Yates will return to write and direct the second film of the new series.
