New IPhone Said to Have Dual Camera, Pressure-Sensitive Button

It’s only been six months since the release of Apple’s latest smartphone, the iPhone SE, but the Cupertino-based tech giant is already expected to follow up with the launch of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus this Autumn.

Bloomberg’s source also noted that both iPhone 7 models will not include a headphone jack, but they will be equipped with new pressure-sensitive Home buttons that utilize haptic feedback.

“iPhone has become one of the most important, world-changing and successful products in history”.

The newest report comes from Mark Gurman on Bloomberg, who says that the new iPhone will come equipped with “more advanced photography capabilities and upgraded hardware in a design similar to that of last year’s models”. Without a 3.5mm headphone jack, you’ll rely on Bluetooth or the iPhone’s Lightning connector to use headphones with the device. At present, Apple hasn’t revealed whether there’s a functional reason for switching to this new home button.

And finally, we have some more details about how the dual lens camera onboard the iPhone 7 Plus is expected to work. Instead of using the two cameras to capture depth, the system is said to be designed to help users take better pictures in low-light situations by combining the data captured by two different cameras with different color settings to create a single picture.

The Next Web wrote that the mockup video is showing what is billed as the iPhone 7 Plus or the iPhone 7 Pro, which some people think will be a third phone in the Apple’s new lineup.

According to Gurman’s report, the dual-rear camera set up won’t appear on smaller version of iPhones, possibly the 4.7-inch version.

There will be two standout features on the next iPhone, however: the powerful dual camera and a new home button.

The new iPhone model will have a redesigned home button that operates similar to the track pad on Apple’s newer MacBook laptops. With the elimination of the jack, there is room for a second speaker, which will improve quality and volume of the speaker system.

Meanwhile, the devices are expected to run on iOS 10, which is expected to launch around the same time as the iPhone 7 and 7S.
