Caterham Cars has introduced a more powerful variant of its current Seven 275 that will sit above the current Seven 275 but below the Seven 485 in the existing line-up.
The Caterham Seven is very light as compared to other road going cars and weighs just a tad above 500kg, the 310R propels beyond 100kmph in 4.8 seconds, 0.2 seconds faster than its predecessor and is able to clock a top speed of 203kmph, six more than the previous auto.
Not a lot has been altered in terms of the car’s exterior, though the 310 will be fitted with new LED lights as standard. Caterham has a new version of the auto that has just been announced that is called the Seven 310 and this vehicle has come from the company’s motorsports program.
Caterham Cars has been churning out some of the coolest and best Lotus 7 replicas for years now.
Deliveries are set to start early in 2017, with prices starting from £24,995 for a fully built Caterham Seven 310, while owners of the 270 can upgrade their engine for £1,495.
Caterham has launched a new model in the United Kingdom based on their existing Seven 270.
Caterham Cars will introduce a new addition to its range – the Seven 310 – and claims it represents the ideal balance of power and confidence-inspiring handling characteristics.
Simon Lambert, Chief Motorsport and Technical Officer for Caterham Cars, said: “It’s entirely fitting that the Seven 310, which we feel perfectly synchronises power and handling, has come out of the motorsport engineering process”. Caterham makes more powerful cars, but feels the new 310 is the best all around vehicle it offers. The Seven 310 was born.
