Jeb Bush’s son breaks with father, endorses Donald Trump

He said that from “Team Bush” – it’s a bitter pill to swallow.

At some point, when a vacancy exists, Bush will run for higher office, Texas attorney general at least, if not United States Senator or Governor of Texas. He is a rising star among Republicans in Texas and beyond.

Texas land commissioner George P. Bush urged Republicans to support party nominee Donald Trump during an event this past weekend. The announcement made headlines because of Bush’s lack of support for the top of the party’s ticket.

The Bush family has refrained from backing Trump so far and the two former presidents–George H W Bush and George W Bush–did not attend the Republian convention in Cleveland held between July 18-21.

It is reported that Jeb spent over $250 million during the primary, and majority of the money went to fighting Trump.

“I want to jump start America, and it won’t even be that hard”, Trump said.

Jeb Bush has spoken about his son’s endorsement of Trump and it is not expected that he will do so. His father Jeb Bush lost the Republican presidential primaries to Trump. Ultimately, however, Bush ended up calling it quits and Trump made almost a clean sweep in the election. I’m sure he isn’t thrilled to be doing so, and the fact that he is seems like another example of the characteristically complicated Bush family dynamics that Texans have encountered before.

Donald Trump has acknowledged his treatment of Jeb Bush. In many ways, he perfectly encapsulates the difficulty many Republicans face this fall: They need Trump’s supporters to back them, but they also need people who don’t support Trump to back them.

“This election cycle is a test”, Bradshaw said.

“I will not vote for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, but I will support principled conservatives at the state and federal levels, just as I have done my entire life”, he wrote on his Facebook page in May.
