The fee for Pogba varies wildly according to different media outlets but the general consensus is that he has now overtaken Gareth Bale as the most expensive player in the world.

Pogba is looking forward to working with a serial victor like Mourinho and said: “I spoke with a lot of players when he was at (Real) Madrid – I spoke with (Alvaro) Morata, (Raphael) Varane – and they all told me he is a coach for me, he will make me improve a lot because he makes you work harder”. The deal back to old Trafford was signed with an initial fee of £89.5m.

“Juventus will always be a part of me and I will always miss, love and be grateful to the club, the team and especially the supporters”.

After several days of waiting and speculating about the much hyped transfer, it has finally taken place where Manchester United had to a world record transfer fee for the player to Juventus.

“I want to do great, I want to be one of the best, I want to win titles, I want to achieve things and that’s all”, he continued. In the upcoming season, they will have to settle with playing in the Europa League.

Pogba will train with his United team-mates for the first time on Tuesday, with Mourinho set to decide whether he will play some role in Sunday’s Premier League opener against Bournemouth.

Mourinho has indicated that Pogba’s arrival will signal the end of United’s significant transfer business this summer, having targeted four players.

“I am delighted to rejoin United”. Mourinho, in an interview, said that the Frenchman could be the heart of the team for the next decade. A midfielder dictates the pace of the game and creates opportunities. Pogba has big shoes to fill at the midfield position.

“He wants to be the best in the world, he wants to learn off the coaches and the senior players. He is young and will continue to improve”.

It has been confirmed that Pogba has been allocated the number six shirt that was left vacant when the club’s squad numbers were released.

“And I’m sure that every Man United fan around the world will be proud to belong to such a big club”. And it’s a statement of intent by United after three years in the wilderness following Ferguson’s retirement at the start of a new era under Mourinho.
