Two people are dead after a knife attack in a Swedish Ikea store.
The suspect was not known to police and did not have a criminal record, a police spokesman for the Vastmanland region, Per Stromback, told the regional VLT paper.
The three victims were stabbed early on Monday afternoon inside the Västerås branch of the global furniture giant, with police called to the scene at around 1pm.

“We found a man and a woman who had knife injuries and who later died of their wounds“, they said in a statement.
Police gave no information about the identities of the victims, but were due to hold a press conference later Monday.
National broadcaster SVT reports that one person has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

The store has been closed and the area cordoned off. “We do not have a motive at the moment”, Stromback said.
