At least 50 persons were feared killed and dozens wounded as a bomb ripped through a market in Borno State on Tuesday.

The blast struck Jebo livestock market in Sabon Gari town in southern Borno at about 13:30 local time (12:30 GMT), sources said.
A nurse at Biu hospital 25 miles (40 kilometers) away said they received more than 20 burned bodies and are treating 41 survivors.
He explained that the injuries were mostly “serious” and that he expected that the results to be even worse. The report suggests that bomb was hidden in a knapsack used for dispersing pesticides. “It was smuggled into the market and apparently abandoned”.
President Deby added that the new Boko Haram chief wanted to negotiated with the Nigerian government, however he suggested it would not be apt to negotiate with a terrorist.
Speaking during its sitting protest yesterday, one of its members, Dr Manessah Allen, stated that those Nigerians living in Moukolo camp, Cameroon, numbering about 45,000, have been in Cameroon since Boko Haram attacked their towns a year ago.
“While no individual or group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, it took place in an area where hundreds of people have been killed in recent weeks by suspected members of the terrorist group Boko Haram“, it said.
“Boko Haram is decapitated”.
An explosion in Borno, Nigeria killed at least 47 people on Tuesday, according to the BBC. Last month the president sacked senior military commanders from the previous regime following another attack.
The US has vowed to help Nigeria defeat the insurgency but it is prohibited under law from sending weapons to countries that fail to tackle human rights abuses.
