Expensive Sh*t! Paul Pogba joins Manchester United for €105m
Pogba is back at Old Trafford in a deal worth €105 million.

Rio Ferdinand told BBC Sport he is confident that Paul Pogba can handle the pressure that comes with his world record fee after completing his move to Manchester United. The French midfielder will be taking his talents to Old Tafford, and in the process sealed a world-record £89 million GBP (approximately $115.6 million USD) deal.
Paul Pogba admits he became annoyed by the delay over his protracted transfer to Manchester United from Juventus. Realistically, though, that’s not going to happen, especially with serial winners like Mourinho, Ibrahimovic, and Pogba at the club.
Quite what Ferguson now makes of Pogba’s capture is anyone’s guess, but it is seen by the Old Trafford club as a crucial purchase if United are to return to the glory days enjoyed under Sir Alex.
“That became the thing that kids were trying to copy in playgrounds up and down the country and I’m hoping as a youth developer that Pogba can have the same effect”.
And Pirlo also reassured United fans that Pogba possesses the mindset of a champion; someone prepared to give his all during training and matches despite having already cemented his reputation as one of the world’s best midfielders.
“But this group of 23 is a great group and I think in this moment – and I told them this – there is a little bit of frustration for the ones that I have not selected”.
Since then, much cash has been blown on some sub-standard performers in the middle, with Marouane Fellaini surely a bigger waste of money at £27.5m, and players like Morgan Schneiderlin and Ander Herrera not quite in that elite calibre of CM to stamp their authority on a game. “He wanted to keep me, but I’d made my decision to leave”, Pogba has said. The Champions League of course.
After starring for the academy in his first spell at Manchester United, Pogba feels that he is ready to make his mark in the Premier league and has come back a more mature and versatile player.
“On an individual level, Pogba’s arrival at Juventus Stadium in the summer of 2012 and continued excellence in the heart of the side deservedly saw him progress from a promising youngster into a world-class performer, being first named European Golden Boy in 2013 before closing a magnificent 2015 with a place in both the UEFA and FIFPro teams of the year”.
England’s Newcastle United made Alan Shearer the most expensive player in the world when it bought him for $19.6 million from Blackburn Rovers in 1996, while Real Betis splurged $28.1 million on Brazilian Denilson in 1998.
“I came back. I’ve not come back from the Academy now; I went to play somewhere else and I came back, I would say, as a person, as an adult”.
The supporters of Manchester United will be happy with Jose Mourinho stating he wants to win everything – something they would never have heard during management under David Moyes or Louis Van Gaal.
