Johnny Depp lines up witnesses

Johnny Depp has a strong defense prepared against estranged wife Amber Heard, TMZ reports.

The 53-year-old actor was seen arriving in Ibiza via private jet over the weekend, and sources told People that the Oscar-nominated thespian is now renting a villa on the island.

The documents also say Heard didn’t turn over the paperwork requested of her from Depp’s team – and because of her refusal to cooperate, Wasser is asking for either Amber to be prohibited from testifying during the trial next week, or for the domestic violence case to be dismissed altogether.

On the roster are two of the responding officers to Heard’s May 21 911 call, who will testify they saw no evidence of injury or damage, five concierges, who claim they saw no bruises to the actress’ face between May 21 and May 27, and two security guards who were at the couple’s loft on May 21.

According to TMZ, Depp’s lawyers have a never-before-seen photo and almost 24 witnesses for the upcoming trial to support his claims that Heard is lying when she says he repeatedly “brutalised” her.

A witness list and exhibit list filed by Heard’s lawyer in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday cites a laundry list of evidence against Depp, who Heard claims was abusive to her throughout their relationship.

Spector’s current witness list includes Heard’s good friend, Raquel Pennington, and Pennington’s boyfriend, Joshua Drew, who were reportedly in the apartment building during the alleged May 21 attack.

Amber is also expected to be called as a hostile witness.

Official documents state: “For privacy reasons, this exhibit is being served on petitioners [Amber and team] and will be supplied to the court at the time of hearing”.

The press officer’s testimony is said to be important because she was believed to be present during discussions between the actress and her legal representative. She is seeking a permanent restraining order against the father-of-two.
