Referring to the Trump’s economic policy speech, Clinton said there wasn’t a lot in it for most Americans.

Trump focused in part on taxes on USA businesses, declaring that no company should pay more than 15 percent of its income in taxes. “But Donald Trump does not reflect historical Republican values nor the inclusive approach to governing that is critical to healing the divisions in our country”, Collins said in an opinion piece in The Washington Post.
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton greets supporters before taking the stage for a campaign rally at The Coliseum in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Monday, Aug. 8, 2016.
Trump said his policies would benefit working families while ensuring the wealthy pay their fair share, dramatically cut taxes for everyone and streamline deductions while presenting the biggest tax reform since Ronald Reagan. “Now, you know that old saying, ‘Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me?'” Clinton said.
Trump dismissed the statement, describing those who had signed the letter as “the failed Washington elite”. Her campaign says she will call for the largest investment in jobs since World War II.
“Americanism, not globalism, will be our new credo”, he said. “We are convinced that in the Oval Office, he would be the most reckless President in American history”. In particular, she said she values the Republican tenet of individuals’ worth and dignity.
“Yet despite these failures, they think they are entitled to use their favor trading to land taxpayer-funded government contracts and speaking fees”, he said.
Prominent among those who signed the letter were former Central Intelligence Agency director Michael Hayden, former US trade representative Carla A Hills, former US Ambassador to India Robert Blackwill and former associate director for Near East affairs, National Security Council, White House Richard Fontaine.
The signatories of the statement include former Central Intelligence Agency Director Michael Hayden, who also headed the National Security Agency; former Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff; former Director of National Intelligence John Negroponte; and two former USA trade representatives, Carla Hills and Robert Zoellick, some of whom worked with more than one Republican president.
The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Later on, it adds, “At the same time, he persistently compliments our adversaries and threatens our allies and friends”.
Claiming that Trump lacks the temperament to be the President, the statement alleged he has demonstrated repeatedly that he has little understanding of America’s vital national interests, its complex diplomatic challenges, its indispensable alliances and the democratic values on which the USA foreign policy must be based.
“He is unable or unwilling to separate truth from falsehood”, the letter states in a particularly pointed criticism of Trump’s personal traits. He can not tolerate personal criticism.

The group, some of whom had already announced they would not vote for Trump, included former homeland security chiefs, intelligence directors, senior presidential advisors and a former USA trade representative.
