Fossil Reveals Latest Android Smartwatches and Their Release Date

We’ve often talked about how there is a lack of smartwatches running Android Wear outside of the usual suspects. They also seemed like a flawless fit for the platform, and the Fossil Q Wander and Fossil Q Marshal are two wearables to watch if you’ve been looking for something a bit different.

The Q Wander and Q Marshal are birds of the same feather, two sides of the same coin, trying to appeal to different aesthetic tastes. Both devices have limitless options for personalization including interchangeable straps in leather, silicone and stainless steel, and thousands of customizable options per dial choice, including the dial’s color, numbering, hand style and color, and sub-eyes. In fact, there seems to be few differences between the two smartwatches in the grand scheme of things, with the exception that the “Q Wander has a lovely soft curving, multi-finish case with artfully sculpted wire lugs” and the Q Marshal comes boasting a “striking rugged case”. They’ll also have speakers, standard interchangeable straps, and a suite of activity tracking apps from Under Armor and UP built-in. You can also easily view text messages and emails on your smartwatch when it is paired with an Android smartphone or iPhone.

Recently Fossil also began their lineup of smart watches which have been dubbed the the Q smartwatches, the only Q watch available for purchase is the Q founder.

Like many of its old school watch brethren, Fossil wasn’t exactly in a hurry to embrace the world of connected wearables – after all, when you make watches, you think you’ve got all the time in the world. In terms of price, specifics have not been provided as of yet by Fossil, besides the statement that the smartwatches will “start at $295”. Almost similar in features, the two are also similar in price, costing $295 each.
