We are inching closer to the summer finale of “Pretty Little Liars”, and in turn this may be the last summer that the show has on the network.

Jason made a startling return to Rosewood on the August 9 episode of ‘Pretty Little Liars, ‘ so he could warn Alison to stay away from Mary Drake.
As for one more general tease for the episode, the Liars are going to hunt down the doctor responsible for delivering Mary’s baby; through that, they hope to have some further information regarding the past. Did you watch the last episode? She asks, “You haven’t told anyone about us, have you?”

Pretty Little Liars airs Tuesdays at 8p.m. ET/PT on Freeform. As they were getting ready to leave, Spencer’s auto alarm went off, so the girls jumped in to close the doors and silence it. They toast to Aria’s engagement and celebrate their friendship. Just then several police officers enter the restaurant and take the elevator upstairs.
Jenna is in tears as the police question her about Sara’s death. She is here to warn the Liars of impending danger. After Toby leaves and she’s alone, Spencer starts to sob. “Tell her I’m running out of patience”. And should Spencer and Toby get back together? Toby then receives a call requesting police at his residence, and rushes off to find out what has happened. Jason said Alison seems to be brainwashed by Mary.
Later, Aria and Jason met for coffee because Rosewood’s drama only goes down in one of three places: the brew, the bar or the woods.
Meanwhile, Hanna will find Carla Grunwald at her door. Aria did cheat on Liam with Ezra, so it’s not like that’s out of the realm of possibility for her.
After a brief panic attack about wedding planning, Ezra suggested eloping.
Aria agrees to think about it.
While Caleb tries to recover the missing file, Caleb and Hanna have a talk. Hanna’s mom hired him as hotel security and agrees to help. At work, Emily bumps into Noel Kahn. She tells Aria, “Go get hitched!” They’ve also kept it a secret all this time, so it obviously wasn’t longterm enough that they needed to mention it to anyone. It’s possible he heard about it from Alison, but what if there was a little.overlap in Aria’s relationships? “Now you have another cousin who wants to kill us”. They hide under the bed.
After Yvonne Phillips is hospitalized, Spencer tells Toby Cavanaugh that he and Yvonne should leave town.
Back at Radley, the noisy bridal group sends Emily and her mom free drinks.
Jason invites Aria to have dinner with his family.
A flashback shows the time that Jason tried to stay at his aunt Caorl’s house and Jessica wouldn’t let him inside. He tells Mary to get off his property. Jessica refused to tell Mary how Charles died and told Mary to never come back. Mary peeks out the window, but Jason doesn’t see her. Spencer surprises all of her friends with matching friendship necklaces. Caleb assures her that they are. He tells her that when he started building that house it wasn’t for Yvonne, it was for Spencer. Spencer is devastated at the prospect of Toby leaving.

The others girls discover that Jessica had files on all of them- except for Aria, who doesn’t have a file. They discover that Mary had a second child their age. What might the girls uncover in the cellar? While they are still in the cellar, Spencer’s vehicle alarm goes off. Spencer just can’t catch a break. She thanks Emily for the fun night and they dance together. Don’t you presume this is going to be awkward? Meanwhile, as Ezra and Aria pack to leave for their trip to Tuscany, the Federal Bureau of Investigation shows up at Ezra’s door to tell him that Nicole may still be alive.
