A judge set bail at $1 million for Ray Tensing, who has pleaded not guilty to murder and voluntary manslaughter charges in the July 19 shooting death of Samuel DuBose. “I’ve got my camera going”.
Two other University of Cincinnati officers, Phillip Kidd and David Lindenschmidt, were placed on administrative leave on Thursday, according to Lonnie Soury, a spokesman for the school. “It’s an absolute tragedy in the year 2015 that anyone would behave in this manner”.
The University of Cincinnati police report said it is unclear how much Lindenschmidt witnessed. Tensing demanded Dubose’s driver’s license, and Dubose said he had one but didn’t have it on him.
An official with the FOP Ohio Labor Council of the state Fraternal Order of Police said Friday that the union has filed a grievance against UC.
“He’s feeling like he’s been run over by a train”, Mathews said. Turner said they have not ruled out a hate crime.

DuBose’s family cheered Thursday when Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge Megan Shanahan set the bond for Tensing at $1 million.
Body camera footage, however, shows that the only person who was in danger was DuBose; he was unarmed and apparently not fleeing when he was shot to death.

Prosecutors said the video shows that’s not what happened. “He’s been very hard-nosed, but then, at the same time, sometimes he surprises you”, Brickner said. “So Cincinnati is showing the rest of us how to do this right”, O’Mara said.
