Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis end their doubles partnership
Together Mirza and Hingis became one of the most successful women’s tennis pairings in recent years, winning titles at Wimbledon and the US Open in 2015, and this year at the Australian Open.

The partnership between India’s Sania Mirza and Swiss player Martina Hingis has ended.
The two blazed the courts winning Miami and Indian Wells titles.
Sania and Martina have qualified for the prestigious year-end WTA Finals as a team and will play the event together if neither qualifies with another partner, which is very unlikely.
“Yes, the partnership is over”.
They have seen early – or unexpected losses in a number of tournaments this year. They have not got the desired results in last five months. “But is a regular phenomena, you can change partner if results are not coming”, a source close to Sania told PTI.
According to Sportskeeda, Mirza will now partner Barbora Strýcová of the Czech Republic, while Hingiz will partner Coco Vandeweghe of United States of America at the upcoming Cincinnati Masters.
In between, the Hyderabadi will play alongside her erstwhile partner Bethanie Mattek-Sands at the Connecticut Open in New Haven (beginning August 22) as Strycova is unavailable during that period.
They made the record with the incredible 41-match unbeaten run which was later broken in February to 6 unseeded teams at various events. After winning four titles at the start of the season, they have managed to win only one title (Rome) after that in three finals. Last month’s Montreal event happened to be their last tournament together, where they lost in the quarterfinals.
Both Mirza, 29, and Hingis, 35, are now competing at the Rio Olympics, where Mirza and countrywoman Prarthana Thombare were eliminated from women’s doubles play in the first round.

Santina won nine titles together and also three grand slams including Wimbledon 2015.
