The Starbucks Menu Addition We’ve Been Waiting For Is Finally Here
Starbucks made its own blend of the beverage, which it’s calling “Almondmilk”, that will be available nationwide in September and cost customers $0.60 per drink. The almond milk offering will be rolled out over the course of September, beginning with almost 5,000 stores in the Pacific Northwest, California, New York, the Northeast, and Mid-Atlantic, and then branching out to the entire country by the end of the month.

According to Yoke Wong, manager of Starbucks Beverage and R&D Team, almond milk is one of the top products requests of customers, based on the company’s outsourcing efforts through the My Starbucks Idea site.
Starbucks-which will charge customers an additional 60 cents for almond milk-developed their own recipe to compliment their hot, iced and Frappuccino beverages.
The almond milk addition makes sense for the coffee chain considering almost 60 percent of USA adult non-dairy milk-drinkers choose almond milk, according to a Mintel report.
“The almond butter in our almondmilk adds body and complements the roasty notes of espresso”, Wong said.

Starting on September 6, the ubiquitous coffee giant will make many customers happy by adding almond milk to its customization options. An 8 ounce serving has about 3g of sugar and compares it with 2% dairy milk with 12-13g of naturally occurring sugar. The coffee company introduced Aussie favourite Flat White in November 2015 as a holiday espresso beverage in the USA and Canada.
