Big Brother called Biggins into the Diary Room on Friday and noted his third use of “unacceptable language”, which left them with “no choice” but to remove him from the house.

Over the years, what we’ve learned is that there are some clear differences when it comes to the American and British versions of “Big Brother” when it comes to what you tolerate and don’t tolerate within the house.

Lady Colin Campbell has written a passionate open letter on Facebook defending Biggins for his actions in the house.

Biggins had caused widespread outrage earlier in the week, for his controversial comments about bisexuality.

“Our whole family have a proud Jewish heritage and are absolutely disgusted by Biggins. What it is, is people not wanting to admit they’re gay… be honest, that’s what you’ve got to be”. It’s a really odd atmosphere, you meet your housemates and as the days unfold you get more comfortable with them and of course you start talking about your previous life, what you did before.

He said: “I didn’t throw glass or break glass”.

“And I was with him in hospital the last time I saw him, and we were laughing and joking and he said, “You should do ‘Big Brother”.

Celebrity Big Brother contestants Heavy D, Saira Khan, Lewis Bloor and Stephen Bear all face the chop from the reality show house in tonight’s eviction.

“I have a lot of bisexual friends and I’m not in any way a bigoted person”.

Viewers had to wait until yesterday’s episode (August 6) which depicted the events leading up to Biggins’ removal to find out what the offensive comments were.

Of his plan to visit the site, Biggins said, “Before I went into the house, my partner Neil and I were talking about it…” I know it’s going to be ghastly.

He said: “The reason I went in is actually a very sad tale”. Discussing the LGBT community with fellow housemate Renee Graziano, Biggins – who himself is gay – was accused of biphobia after saying, “I think the worst type though is, I’m afraid to say, the bisexuals”.

Asked who would replace the entertainer is that role, Bovey replied: “I don’t think James will because, he can’t hold court the way that Biggins did”.

Christopher Biggins was removed from the house for saying Aids was a'bisexual disease
