A top Hillary Clinton staffer told CNN that the former first lady’s campaign team is unfazed by news that Vice President Joe Biden is giving serious consideration to a White House bid.

With that said, however, nothing has been confirmed. Now it appears those conversations may have kicked off again, though there has been no confirmation from the vice president himself on whether he’ll run.
Meanwhile, one columnist of The New York Times wrote that Biden had already been holding meetings at his house, “talking to friends, family and donors about jumping in to challenge Mrs. Clinton” in Iowa and New Hampshire, two early-voting states.
At the moment, Biden’s priority continues to be his family’s well-being.
Biden has run for the presidency twice before – in 1988 and 2008, ultimately losing the Democratic nomination to Michael Dukakis and Obama, respectively.
“I’m as convinced as I can be that Joe Biden will be entering the presidential race”, said Mr. Cooper, who bases his assessment on signals from Biden’s inner circle, though he can’t name names.
The speculation builds amid signs of trouble for Clinton, whose poll numbers betray some slack in her support and whose campaign has been dogged by the enthusiasm gravitating toward Vermont Sen.
“Once you get on the stage, it’s not going matter whether you’re number one or five or ten”, says Christie. “I still think Secretary Clinton is the frontrunner, but if Biden got in the race he’d be formidable in his own right”.
Last week, a Quinnipiac poll showed that Biden had the highest favorability rating, 49 percent that he has ever had in his seven years as vice president. “He is somebody who’s a champion of the middle class. He is somebody who has decades of experience in foreign policy, and, on a regular basis, this administration and this country benefits from the kinds of personal relationships that Joe Biden has built around the world”. Biden has said he plans to make a decision on running for president by the end of the summer.
