Police set up tip line in investigation of Princeton woman’s murder

According to CNN, she didn’t return from her afternoon jog at the expected time, and was reported missing by her family at about 3 p.m., the police said.

Originally from the MA town of Leominster, Marcotte, who had been living in New York City, was visiting her mother in Princeton over the weekend.

On Monday, Early and Princeton Police Chief Michele Powers urged local residents to use an abundance of caution and remain aware of their surroundings while traveling through the area.

Police, seen scouring the wooded area near a two-lane road on Monday afternoon, are asking the public’s help in finding out what happened after Marcotte departed, reports Fox 59.

“We’re still approaching this from every angle”.

Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. said Marcotte’s family was “devastated” after meeting with them. “We’re considering anyone and everyone who could have committed this crime”.

“It’s the New Yorker attitude”, she said.

According to the Globe, the Boston University alumna had been visiting her mother from NY when she went jogging around 1pm on Sunday (7 August). “She said she’ll never run again”.

A Boston University professor says a Google account manager who was found slain in central MA during the weekend was “remarkably sweet” and knew at a young age what she wanted to do in her career.

Mountain View, California-based Google says it’s “shocked and saddened” by her killing.

Marcotte, who lives in New York City, was visiting her mother for the weekend. “I’ve been at the police station since 4 a.m.”, he said.

The first killing happened in the New York City borough of Queens on August 2, when Karina Vetrano, 30, was strangled to death while out for a jog along a path she often ran with her father. Like Marcotte, 30-year-ol Katrina Vetrano was killed while running alone during daylight hours in a secluded area.

Early said there is “nothing at this point” to indicate the deaths are connected.
