Turns out No Man’s Sky may not have multiplayer after all

A player by the name of TheGalacticCactus discovered a planet that had been found by another player called Psytokat, and the two chose to meet, both simultaneously streaming on Twitch. Wanting to explore the “largely unexplored” medium of video games, the team is interested in releasing a new game that still does something new like No Man’s Sky.

“No Man’s Sky” will be officially released for the PS4 and PC on August 9. Because of this, every player’s starting planet will look different.

It certainly didn’t expect that to happen on day one.

“We are 100 per cent In the same station same spot and everything and we can not see each other”, TheGalacticCactus said in a disappointing update.

But now just a day after the game’s release two players have managed exactly that.

The Hello Games managing editor also hinted that they want to be the “Johnny Depp of studios”, in a way that allows them to mix various styles from contemporary and indie games.

Only yesterday Murray seemed to be playing down the game’s online element.

In the run up to the game’s release the game’s creator, Sean Murray, claimed that, while it was possible for players to meet in the game, the sheer size of the universe meant that this nearly certainly wouldn’t happen. But the real test was getting two players to find each other in the 18 quintillion planet strong world.

If that’s you then don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with the best deals on the high street from Argos, Tesco, ASDA, Game and more.

Their experience contradicts what Murray has said in the past where he implied that players would be able to meet. For instance, you’ll see how many planets and moons are in one system, and you can also see all of the discoveries you’ve made within a specific planet as well.
