Several hurt as railings collapse at Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa gig

– Upcoming concerts have already continued as scheduled at Camden’s BB&T Pavilion after a railing collapsed during Friday’s Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa concert, injuring 42 people. Video captured by concertgoers showed both performers being led off the stage by security after the incident.
This comes after 42 people were injured when a railing collapsed during a concert there last night.
Forty two people were hurt after a railing collapsed during a concert by Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa in New Jersey.
Until the cause is determined, Mongeluzzi said, the venue should be closed for shows.
One eyewitness told Philly.com that some fans fell as much as 10 feet onto the concrete below.
The concert was about halfway finished when the railing collapsed.
You can see in the photo above the stage where Snoop and Khalifa had been performing.
Hecht said she had four or five people on top of her, making it hard for her to breathe.
Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa stood on stage for a short moment, looking at their tumbling fans, as if unsure of what to do. Officials said the show would take place, though it wasn’t clear if any areas would be blocked off during the event.
The indoor-outdoor venue, across the Delaware River from Philadelphia’s Center City, has a capacity of 25,000, including indoors seating for 7,000.

Concert organiser Live Nation said some of its employees were among the injured. It has undergone several name changes, though, as sponsors have gone out of business or were acquired by other companies.
