Libertarian Candidate Gary Johnson To Hold Duke City Rally

Libertarian Party activists in OH carry boxes of signature petitions to the Secretary of State’s Office on Tuesday in Columbus in hopes of placing presidential candidate Gary Johnson on the November ballot. “I’ve always said I will not vote for Donald Trump and I will not vote for Hillary Clinton”, Mr. Rigell said.

Johnson has been trying to get to 15 percent in the polls which would allow him to be in the presidential debates.

Johnson tweeted on Sunday that he’s honored to have Rigell’s support.

During his time as governor of MA in the 1990s, Weld, a former Republican, was one of few among his party to support legalizing medical marijuana.

Polls are showing, and have been for some time now, that the majority of Americans don’t like Clinton or Trump, and Johnson’s subtle but important rise in the polls suggests that he, more so than Green Party candidate Jill Stein, is a legitimate third choice. “I’m going to vote for the Libertarian candidate”.

Collins said this year will mark the first time that she, a lifelong Republican, did not support the GOP presidential nominee.

Libertarians have fought a state law banning its status as a minor party in federal courts, but failed to win, and plan to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court if the Cincinnati-based 6th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals declines to reconsider its recent decision.

“There’s not one character trait, for example, in the Republican nominee Donald Trump that I would want my son or grandsons to aspire to, not one”, Rigell said in the WAVY TV 10 report.

Neither Mr. Johnson nor Mr. Earl would appear on the ballot with the Libertarian Party label.

Kenney said that if Rigell were inclined to do so, he could “bring resources, personality and leadership to a movement that has already demonstrated enough support to cost elections”.

The Libertarian presidential nominee is set to speak at the Convention Center Thursday night.

Warner defeated Gillespie by less than 17,000 votes. The victor of of election, Democrat Terry McAuliffe, beat Republican Ken Cuccinelli by just over 56,000 votes.

Earlier on Monday, The Republican Party of Virginia Beach expressed its disappointment with Rigell’s endorsement in a Facebook post.
