Bill who? When Hillary Clinton called Donald Trump her husband!
On Friday, while addressing the National Association of Black Journalists and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists in Washington, DC., Hillary Clinton almost referred to Donald Trump as her husband, the NY Post reported.

But Clinton, the Democratic candidate for president, raised questions again when she sought to defend her disputed claim in a Fox News interview last Sunday that FBI Director James Comey has said she told the truth about her emails. She also saluted the historic role journalists of color have played in driving social and political change from majority-white newsrooms. “I can see why so many voters believe Clinton is hiding something because her instinct is to withhold”, wrote former New York Times executive editor Jill Abramson in a Guardian column in March.
Clinton likened the struggle for economic equality in minority communities to the struggles of the civil rights movement. Clinton said that she may have “short circuited” her description of what happened. “We’re going to do everything we can to get this done”.
Clinton repeated her pledge, even while pursuing legislation, to maintain Obama’s controversial deportation waiver programs, known as DACA and DAPA, for eligible undocumented immigrants and their families living in the United States.
“I am delighted to thank you for the important work you do every day and now more than ever we need you to keep holding leaders and candidates accountable”, Clinton said.
No one asked how Hillary Clinton’s own criminal justice history is at odds with her recent stances on Black Lives Matter.
The blip, though corrected instantly with a gracious smile, was noticed by the audience and invited some stifled laughs.
Clinton was referring to Comey’s testimony at a congressional hearing last month, where he said: “We have no basis to conclude she lied to the Federal Bureau of Investigation”, and pointed out that doing so would have been a crime. “Clinton knows the actions she has taken are disqualifying for someone wishing to become commander in chief, and that is why today’s painful, pretzel-like response to a simple question about her illegal server was obvious to everyone watching”.
In 2004, incumbent President George W. Bush and his presidential election challenger U.S. Sen. She’s been riding high after the DNC convention, while Donald Trump has set himself on fire almost everyday.
On Friday, Clinton seemed to be on her toes as she tackled questions about the value of the Latino voting bloc to the Democratic party, the emails scandal and whether racism and xenophobia were driving the campaign of her Republican presidential challenger, Donald Trump. When I attended my first “UNITY” conference in 2008 in Chicago, then Senator Barack Obama showed up, wowed the crowd and answered a few tough questions before going back on the campaign trail.
Organizers said Trump declined their invitation to speak at the gathering.
Before Clinton took to the stage, a staff member with a NABJ badge asked individuals sitting in the working press section of the event not to applaud during Clinton’s remarks.
