Jose Mourinho clarifies the Paul Pogba and Bastian Schweinsteiger situations
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho says criticisms from his Arsenal and Liverpool counterparts Arsene Wenger and Jurgen Klopp are “not ethical”.

Pogba left Manchester United for Italian champions Juventus on a free transfer in 2012.
Speaking on Friday, he said: “I don’t like to speak about other players. The club have players of a very high level, a little like Benfica”. I have to confess I don’t like, I have to confess that is not ethical but there are things that when I do it’s not ethical and others they don’t do, nobody says that, everything is normal. “I am happy with the effort of the club”. I do not like that.
He said: “He [Mourinho] said a long time ago his dream is to represent Manchester United, so everyone was expecting that one day he would become coach. If I had arrived earlier we would have fought for him”. “In other countries they don’t want to share the money, the television rights”. Our market was good.
Mourinho was expected to tone down his act as United boss following his infamous meltdown with Chelsea last season. “I only speak about us”, the United manager said when asked to assess this summer’s Premier League transfers.
Whatever the validity of their claims, Pogba’s arrival at Old Trafford appears imminent and Mourinho is hopeful that his squad will be complete in time for United’s trip to Bournemouth on Aug 14.
“So, next week we will have our squad closed”.
“I think you are getting one of the best midfield players in the world”.
According to Wenger, the fee involved in the biggest transfer in history is “completely insane”.
Asked about banishing Schweinsteiger from the first team squad, Mourinho said it was the kind of thing that happened “at every club in the world”.
Mourinho also weighed in on the Bastian Schweinsteiger situation. It’s hard to change the dynamics.
“I want to make it clear that I am not saying my teams are better or have better ideas or my principles of play are better”.
It’s all hotting up between the top managers and the season hasn’t even started yet!
