Tim Tebow to play ball, but not the sport you think

Almost a year after Tim Tebow last appeared on an National Football League roster, the former quarterback is “actively pursuing a career in professional baseball”, his agents told ESPN. Not even the best baseball player could take 11 years off from the game, pick up a bat and glove, and have the ability to hit a 95 miles per hour fastball on the outside corner and stay back on a nasty curveball or wicked slider.

“I am beyond impressed with Tim’s athleticism and swing, and it goes without saying that he has shown a high level of discipline and strong work ethic”, Moeller wrote. “Knowing Tim’s passion and desire, we won’t be surprised by anything he accomplishes”, his agent Jimmy Sexton revealed.

All major league teams are invited to Tebow’s workout.

One Major League Baseball team certainly understands what social media should be used for. “I think he’d be a great fit here in Schaumberg”. Tebow hopes to be signed to a roster.

He was then drafted in the first round by the Denver Broncos in 2010, actually leading the team to a playoff victory in 2011. “I see bat speed and power and real baseball talent”. Specifics about Tebow’s training were not immediately available, though according to Sports Illustrated, he will pursue a position as an outfielder.

Tebow’s shot at making the bigs are slim considering he’s 29 and hasn’t played organized hardball since his junior year in high school. It was fun for a while, but eventually that meant somebody was going to ask actual baseball players and coaches about the idea, and Baltimore Orioles manager Buck Showalter had no interest in Tebow’s baseball dream.

As for the “it” factor that Sheffield believes Tebow possesses, that was a common praise for Tebow the football player as well.
