“I’m clean. I’ve proved I’m clean”.
Lacourt also took a pot shot at China’s Xu Jiayu who came second in his race, behind American Ryan Murphy.
China’s swim team wants an apology from Australian Mack Horton for launching a “malicious personal attack” on rival Sun Yang at the Olympics, Chinese media reported Sunday.
The Chinese Swimming Association wrote to its Australian counterpart to demand an apology from Horton.
Sun told the Seven Network on Sunday that “I am no friend of Mack Horton”.
It was Sun’s second medal of the Games after his silver in Saturday’s 400 free.
An Englishman named Mark Horton was abused despite making it clear that he was not the Australian swimmer.
Horton had been accused of snubbing Sun’s attempt to shake hands in the pool after his victory.
Incensed Chinese fans have trolled Horton ever since his post-race remarks, but it seems his Twitter handle has confused many.
Doping in swimming has been a hot topic at Rio 2016, and Camille Lacourt has added his voice to those criticizing China’s Sun Yang.

Just before 3pm yesterday, Horton’s Wikipedia page was placed under protection as racist comments and insults began to pollute his profile.
The Chinese Swimming Association on Monday asked Horton to apologize for his “inappropriate words” after he labeled Sun a “drug cheat” a reference to Sun’s three-month 2014 suspension over banned heart medication. “Chinese people always look down on you!” said another.

It went on to say that in many serious essays written by Westerners, Australia is mentioned as a country at the “fringes of civilisation”, and mentioned the country’s “early history as Britain’s offshore prison”.
“This suggests that no one should be surprised at uncivilised acts emanating from the country”, it concluded.
Australian media staunchly defended the defiant Horton.
Meanwhile, his biggest competitor at Rio Olympics 2016, Sun, responded by saying, “I don’t care too much what the Australian athlete says …”

When asked if he would beat Horton in their next event, the world-record holder said: “In 1500m I am the king”.
