Alicia Buzzard left the West Cornwall Township mental health facility at 6:30 p.m.in the company of 18-year-old Elliot Ravert of Narvon, Lancaster County, police said.

Police say Elliot Ravert, 18, entered the Phil Haven Hospital Tuesday night with a handgun.

A warrant has been issued against Ravert charging him with robbery, aggravated assault, and terroristic threats, said Cornwall police Chief Bruce Harris.

Police say Ravert is driving a 2004 green Chevy Avalanche truck with PA registration ZGY3594.

Ravert demanded nurses unlock Buzzard’s housing unit and threatened to shoot them if they did not cooperate, police said.

Buzzard’s sister told LNP that Buzzard has a bipolar disorder and has known Ravert for about three months. Anyone with information regarding the location of Buzzard or Ravert should contact police immediately by calling 911.

Buzzard’s family members said they had asked the hospital not to allow Ravert to visit her at the hospital, where she had been for roughly a week and a half.

Philhaven, the mental and behavioral health care facility where the incident occurred, is located about 30 miles east of the state capital. He wanted to know why she was in lock down, according to the criminal complaint.

Authorities aren’t sure if Buzzard went willingly with Ravert, but they said they believe she may be at special risk of harm or injury.
