Northern Minn. State Rep. David Dill dies after battle with cancer

State Rep. David Dill has died after a battle with cancer. “Most important, he cared deeply for his family and spoke often about them with pride and love”. “I will miss him”.

According to several political colleagues, Dill was recently diganosed and had gone to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester to receive chemotherapy.

Gov. Mark Dayton released a statement Sunday, saying Dill advocated tirelessly for the best interests of his district and the welfare of Minnesota. Governor Mark Dayton was among the many who praised Dill for his passion and committment to the people of northeastern Minnesota. Back then, Dill was in the minority for that particular project, and lawmakers knew that Dill was just that kind of legislator that could go out there and speak his mind about what he wanted to see get do ne.

Besides his son, Dill is also survived by his wife, Tucky.
