CNN Rips Mateen At Clinton Rally ‘Embarrassing Episode’ for Campaign
In the latest twist on the presidential campaign trail, the father of the gunman behind the horrific Orlando night club shooting made an unexpected visit at a Hillary Clinton rally in Florida.

On Tuesday, following an event she held in Miami, a reporter asked Clinton why Orlando terrorist Omar Mateen’s father was in a prominent location behind her at the event. What attracts a terrorist, which is what he is, this guy was on radio saying awful anti- American things, supports the Taliban, this is a guy who said God should punish homosexuals. On Fox News on Tuesday, Giuliani said Mateen clearly gravitates toward Clinton because she has not exactly been a leading voice in the fight against terrorism.
As of this publication, however, Hillary Clinton herself has yet to publicly disavow or repudiate Mateen, either on social media or in person.
On television, Mateen appeared in the same frame as Clinton spoke.
Foley told the Sun Sentinel newspaper he arrived early to get his prime seating, visible behind Trump in TV shots – just like he used to do during the State of the Union addresses when he was in Congress. Mateen also said that he’s a Democrat, he loves the United States, and he’s been living here a long time. “This individual wasn’t invited. and the campaign was unaware of his attendance until after the event”. But Hillary Clinton has since distanced herself from the father of mass murderer, Omar Mateen. In the interview, Mateen claimed he had been “invited” by the Democratic Party. Mateen’s controversial views on Afghan politics and homosexuality emerged after the shooting.

Clinton “disagrees with his views and disavows his support”, a campaign spokesperson told news outlets.
