He was taken into custody at about 3:30 p.m. Police set up barricades around the area as a precaution and also placed out large inflatable cushions. The climber reportedly reached the fifth floor, CBS New York reported.

In a news conference on Wednesday evening, police said that the man posted a video to YouTube on Tuesday expressing he wanted to meet Donald Trump.
Donal Trump wasn’t even in the building, but over 200,000 people have tuned in. NY time, the spokesman said.
Officers also lowered themselves toward him using a window washer’s platform.
The tower is both headquarters to Trump’s campaign and his business empire.
The real estate mogul was not in the building at the time of the climb, but on the campaign trail. CNN is live streaming the insane event, as the man uses giant suction cups to hoist himself up the side of the famous building, owned by Donald Trump. Officials said the Secret Service would not be contacted because there didn’t appear to be any harm directed at Trump.
His team was working with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office to determine which charges would be made.
“This man performed a ridiculous and unsafe stunt”, Michael Cohen, an executive at the Trump Organization, said in an emailed statement.
“He caused the shutdown of traffic on Fifth Avenue”. I’m 100% certain the NYPD had better things to do. “If Mr. Trump were here he’d be thanking law enforcement for the job they’re doing”.
Police officers smashed windows in an attempt to block his progress, the Associated Press reported.
He is still up there, trying to avoid police who are trying to pull him inside.
Moments later, rescuers busted a huge hole in a window above him – causing shattered glass to rain down on his head. No one was injured.

As a crowd gasped on the street below, two officers leaning far out of a window frame where the glass was removed grabbed the climber’s arm and backpack, and in a flash yanked him from his dangling stirrups.
