In another act of violence at the Rio games, a bus moving media and volunteers to Olympic Park was reportedly fired upon. There were no injures.

The Rio organizing committee said the driver heard a noise from inside the bus, which he thought was photography equipment falling down. Two windows were shattered, with tiny chards of glass remaining in place.
She also said the bus driver initially tried to stop but was told to keep moving by the dozen or so journalists on board, the first police vehicle to reach them did not appear to know what to do, there was no first-aid kit on the bus, medical assistance when they reached the press centre was minimal and police failed to interview them all.
Security is being stepped up after a coach carrying journalists between Olympic venues in Rio came under attack last night.
The International Olympic Committee said it would wait for a police report before commenting.
The incident raises more concerns about security at the Rio de Janeiro Games.
Retired US Air Force captain Lee Michaelson says only a competent forensic analysis by a ballistics expert would convince her otherwise and has suggested Olympic officials are trying to put a positive spin on the incident.
A statement from Rio’s civil police said: “According to information from the 42nd police precinct in Recreio dos Bandeirantes it was established that police procedures and investigations are underway to determine the damage suffered by a bus that provides services for the Games Rio 2016”.
On Saturday, a bullet hit the equestrian centre, missing a New Zealand journalist by just a few feet.
The same day, security forces conducted a controlled explosion near the finish line of the men’s cycle road race.

A 51-year-old Brazilian woman was also shot dead during a robbery on Friday in the renovated “Marvelous Port” area, which is meant to be a main attraction for Olympic tourists.
