Upon Uggie’s retirement in 2012, von Muller had nothing but praise for the heralded hound.
In June 2012, Uggie retired from acting after imprinting his paws in the iconic cement outside Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Los Angeles, according to the Washington Post.
Paying tribute to the pooch, Palm Dog organisers said: “This was one special little Jack Russell who gave pleasure to millions”.

Von Muller said that the decision to have his beloved pet euthanized was a tough decision.

Uggie’s trainer, Sarah Clifford, added: ‘I will forever hold him dearly in my heart and never forget his infinite love for chicken and hotdogs’. A pound-bound Uggie found his way into showbiz after he was rescued by an animal trainer, melting hearts first in a dog talent show and then in commercials and movie parts.
