Cadillac Blood Drive Helps With Red Cross Shortage
The American Red Cross is seeking blood donations from the community as a result of what they say is a “critical blood shortage”.

August 26, 9 a.m.to 2 p.m. Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental consent in some states), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.
Officials with the organization say all blood types are now needed, but those with types “O”, “B” or “A” negative are especially in demand. Donors are encouraged to make appointments and complete the RapidPass questionnaire beforehand to reduce wait times.

According to the American Red Cross website, the organization supplies about 40% of the nation’s blood supply.
