Asus ZenWatch 3 with circular display outed in FCC filing

The FCC filing reveals the label that will be present at the back and it clearly shows that the smartwatch is going to be round. And while that might not exactly be out of the ordinary, a sighting at the FCC hints that, for the first time, an ASUS ZenWatch, to be called the ZenWatch 3, of course, will be round. The idea that the wearable is coming with a rounded body came from the circular diagram of the ZenWatch 3 which also contains the list of some of the specs and features of the device. Asus’s new wearable may be announced at the upcoming IFA fair. The successor, the ZenWatch 2, also featured a square display. In addition, there is also mention of customized keys, which according to Android Central refer to the physical buttons that will be part of the smartwatch, just like the ones found in LG’s second-generation Watch Urbane. Asus has never been one to shy away from follow-ups, so one would assume we would eventually see another member of the ZenWatch family arrive.

As this is one of if not the first “sighting” of the ZenWatch 3, there hasn’t been much talk about its hardware.

Asus was one of the early adopters of Android Wear, and while their smartwatches didn’t quite sell like the Moto 360 or Huawei Watch, they did gain a lot of fans.
