Manchester United manager Mourinho criticises Arsenal boss Wenger and Liverpool’s Klopp

Speaking on Friday, he said: “I don’t like to speak about other players”.

Neville, though, insisted that Pogba is just the player that manager Jose Mourinho needs to bolster United’s midfield and boost their chances of winning the EPL.

“People were saying when I went there: “Oh it’s too much” but then we won and people look back and think: “You know what, it wasn’t that expensive” when you can say you’ve won six Premier Leagues in 12 years”.

Ferdinand also spoke about Paul Pogba and the Frenchman’s desire to become the best in the world and the importance that United sign him. It stays like this. But honestly, the market closes on August 31st, but I think my club is trying to do everything to close the market before August 14th.

When asked if the signing was close Mourinho added: “Yes, we have 22 players and we are going to have 23”.

And United boss Mourinho has admitted he is a huge admirer of the teenager, and could have signed if he had begun his tenure earlier. “We made a decision to bring in four players, not 10; we chose to bring four that are Man United level”.

“I already heard two of my colleagues from other Premier League clubs and I have to confess I don’t like it”.

“What’s happening is happening at every club in the world”, the Portuguese tactician responded curtly. They can do what they want. A week before that we started talking. Our transfer market was good.

“But the way we work we try to bring them on as fast as we can”.

“The number of matches [in pre-season] is not enough – the game we didn’t play against Manchester City is really bad for us”.

In May, it was reported that former United boss Louis van Gaal had vetoed the club’s efforts to bring in Sanches.

“So, next week we will have our squad closed”.

“So I made the decision to play with 23 players and two goalkeepers, which is a lot”.

Jose Mourinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have stressed Man Utd are taking Sunday’s Community Shield game against Leicester very seriously.
