Mercedes reveals new Maybach coupe concept teaser

If chef Emeril Lagasse could be hired to help out with a car’s debut, he would be perfectly appropriate for the mystery vehicle Mercedes-Benz is teasing ahead of this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. BAM!

There isn’t much info beyond the above picture, a profile shot that reveals a surprisingly sporty design and the distinct Maybach pillar badge. At least, it has a Maybach badge on its haunch, as well as a Mercedes-Benz three-pointed-star hood ornament poking up from its nose.

Called the Mercedes-Maybach 6 Coupe, the huge new concept measures in at nearly six-metres long making it an imposing 800mm longer than an S-Class. So expect a host of tech wizardry and equally awe-inspiring synonyms for the finest of leather and materials sourced from across the globe.

A big, long, sexy, exorbitantly exorbitant Maybach coupe. The Maybach brand previously flirted with the notion of a coupe through the outlandish twin-turbo V12 Exelero concept in built in 2004. So, could the concept be a spiritual successor to the Exelero? As per teaser-standards, it has no name and looks quite splendid based on what the carmaker allows us to see.

Pebble Beach is the place to show off your most exotic/luxurious/fabulous (delete as appropriate, or select all three) vehicle; this is the place where all of the world’s wealthiest auto people congregate, after all.
