“We’ll continue to build more Cortana features over time as part of our vision to have Cortana be your personal digital assistant for gaming”, reads a Microsoft statement. “We’re thrilled at the amount of interest we’ve received and we are always looking for opportunities to offer choice and fantastic value to our fans”.

All is not lost, though, as the blood-red Gears of War 4 Xbox One S is still on the way with 2 TB worth of storage on October 7.

Before the console was released, Microsoft had told gamers at E3 that it would produce a 2TB Xbox One S alongside 1TB and 500GB versions, but only the 2TB version would be available over the summer. It means Microsoft doesn’t intend to manufacture the white 2TB Xbox One S. If you want to buy one, check with your local retailer if it’s still available in your market. If you didn’t pre-order or snap one up straight after it was released earlier this month, you’ll now have to wait until the 500GB or 1TB models hit the shops. This edition will sport a rusty red color as is typical with the gritty FPS game, and it will also be more expensive at $449, compared to the $399 of the now available White model.
