Arsenal star Mesut Ozil anxious over lack of transfers
Arsenal are still keen to tie Mesut Ozil down to a new contract that would extend the German’s stay at the club beyond 2018, although the player himself is reportedly interested in a return to Real Madrid should the opportunity arise.

Yet the report in Bild states that Ozil is determined to wait and consider his options before committing to a new deal will alarm Arsenal fans, with the respected German publication not known for its speculative stories.
Former Real Madrid star Ozil is unlikely to start for Arsene Wenger’s men, having only returned to training this week after an extended summer break, following his exploits at Euro 2016.
The 27-year-old spent three years at the Bernabeu before switching to north London, although he apparently would be ready to reunite with Zinedine Zidane’s side in the future.
“All the clubs have invested heavily, not only on world-class players, but also on world-class coaches who have been brought into the league”.
“Of course, we all watch as the other teams strengthen and get (to a higher level) in the league”.
“I don’t know a better No.10 than Mesut”, declared Xhaka, when asked about Ozil by Arsenal’s official website.
Dimitri Payet was one of the breakout stars of the Premier League last season – but is he better than World Cup victor Mesut Ozil?
