Forget the Maesters. “Game of Thrones” is more concerned with maestros for its newly announced nationwide tour.

Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver are among the cities to be visited by “Game of Thrones” composer Ramin Djawadi on a 28-city tour across North America.

“We wanted it to be an immersive experience so that when you are walking into the [arena], you are in Westeros”, the German-Iranian composer said during an interview with Billboard.

In a statement, the show’s executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss said: “For seven years, Ramin has been blowing our mind with his music’s force, subtlety, and endless inventiveness”.

Djawadi, not wanting to reveal too many features of the Live Nation-produced tour, said the stage’s design will employ state-of-the-art technology, and there will be “things happening onstage that will enhance the musical experience”.

He said: “It’ll be a great thing for people to experience this in a live setting with their favourite show attached to it”.

The “Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience” kicks off February 15 in Kansas City, Mo., and will play at Madison Square Garden in New York City and the Forum in Los Angeles. “Game of Thrones”, nominated for a leading 23 Emmy awards this year, will conclude in two years’ time with its eighth season, which alarmed actor Isaac Hempstead-Wright, who plays Bran in the series and joined Djawadi for a Q&A at Monday’s event.

The 22-book series centres on the survivors of a fictional alien virus that struck New York City in 1946.
