Meet the female Ocean’s Eleven cast
Casting is still underway, but production is slated to begin in October (16) in NY, according to Deadline.com. The film will be a female-centered spin-off of the “Ocean’s Trilogy”, a series of heist films released in the early-to-mid 2000s.

Now, those of you who can count will recognize that that’s only seven names, which means at least one more actress will be named before too long.
So far, Gary Ross’ Ocean’s 8 already has a stellar cast that includes Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Mindy Kaling and Helena Bonham Carter.
Ocean’s Eleven director Steven Soderbergh, who is based in NY and is expected to be deeply involved with the spinoff – perhaps taking on a below-the-line job like he has done on other studio films, such as Magic Mike XXL – is producing solo (Ocean’s Eleven producer Jerry Weintraub passed away last year).
Brad Pitt and George Clooney in the film, Ocean’s 11. Hopefully, since the film is so close to production, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Helena Bonham Carter, and Awkwafina will be finalized and we will get an official cast-list from the studio. After minuscule roles in Battleship, This is the End and Annie, Rihanna found success as the voice of the main character in the Pixar-animated film, Home.
‘I don’t think he would’ve wanted anyone to do it if we weren’t. “This is very much an extension and a continuation”.
The screenplay was written by Olivia Milch. I’m in no way trying to reinvent the tone, and I’m thrilled and honored to be extending it. Rihanna had roles in This Is the End, Annie and the upcoming Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, while Awkwafina previously appeared in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising.
