Reagan daughter blasts Trump for inciting violence
Declaring that “words matter”, Davis went on to say that Trump is steadily taking people from the “lock her up” chants to a much more ominous place.

The daughter of Ronald Reagan is citing her father’s shooting as evidence that comments like Donald Trump’s recent blast against Hillary Clinton have real-world consequences.
In a Facebook post, Davis condemned Trump’s comments, noting that Reagan’s shooter drew inspiration from a movie.
Patti Davis responded to the mogul’s comments on Facebook Wednesday night, saying that by drumming up his supporters this way, Trump is creating the same kind of motivating factor that inspired John Hinckley Jr.to shoot her dad. “But then you know that, which makes this all even more horrifying”, she wrote. “Although the second amendment people, maybe there is”, he said at a rally in Delaware.
Critics – including the Clinton campaign – immediately hopped on the comments, accusing Trump of encouraging violence.
He told a crowd of supporters in the Trask Coliseum at North Carolina University, Wilmington, that Democratic presidential candidate wants to abolish, essentially abolish, the Second Amendment’.
Ronald Reagan’s daughter Patti Davis is also weighing in on Trump’s controversial remarks, something she’s yet to do this election cycle.
Just last month, it was announced that the man who attempted to assassinate her father, President Ronald Reagan, would be released after spending 35 years in a mental hospital.
“I just had this fleeting thought that someone should let him know what his behavior and actions have wrought and that this is turning into a civil war because of his nature”, Luckinbill said.
However, there was an immediate backlash from many who saw Trump’s remark as an assassination threat.

Davis said that both his supporters and potentially unsafe people heard his comments.
